Description: Wow! This set is gorgeous! The painted flowers, so skillfully done! They are bright and cheery and they remind you these pieces were entirely hand made. Each piece was constructed with a pair of hands and a slab of clay, little else. The slab was likely placed in a mold to give it its raised lip on the edge of the plate but as far as tools go, that's it.This is a great example of Renaissance Revival Rose pattern from the Barrettoni gia Antonibon Pottery in Nova Italy. It was made in the 1930's! The bright blue dash and dot scallop rimmed plates and floral pattern are distinctive to this type of Italian majolica ceramics. This set includes one large plate/platter, 4 dessert plates and one pie/cake server. The large plate/platter is 10" across. The pie server is 9" in length and the dessert plates are 7". This set would make an incredible gift!
