Description: Ming 15th Century Buddhist Lion Dish Most likely Chenghua to Hongzhi Period Antique Year 1450 - 1500 Very well painted Lion with great flow and color as well as some pooling of the colbalt blue in the strokes. All of these features are typical of 15th century porcelain. Later Buddhist Lion dishes were also made but the design was stiff with little flow and duller shades of blue were used. Great condition with just one old rim chip and other typical firing imperfections of porcelain from this period. Please check all photos for multiple angles of the condition.
