Description: Millville, NJ - UMBRELLA PAPERWEIGHT - INK WELL and STOPPER. Circa 1890. Made at Whitall Tatum Glassworks, Millville in Southern New Jersey. The rough pontil and a large foot with a secondary ring above it sometimes referred to as a Mariah's Ring. The Umbrellas have wonderful form and color, centered within the glass. Many of these Umbrellas have been attributed to John Rhulander, one of the few known expert glassblowers at the Millville Factory. In AS IS Condition - Lines and Air Bubbles in both pieces from improper cooling in-the-making - PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS. Obviously a Factory Reject which someone, or the maker, took home.
