Description: Mike Balter Unwound Series Xylophone/Glock Mallets - Model 6 Rattan - Hard Grey Rubber - 1 pair - very good condition, purchased in the late 1990s when I was majoring in music in college and have been in a box in my closet unused since 2003. The mallets have my initials written on them in black sharpie (at the time to prevent other students from permanently borrowing them...). The rattan has some mild curvature on both mallets (see photos), which happens naturally to rattan over time. Mike Balter's passion runs deep. Through years of gained experience as a percussionist, drummer, and educator Mr. Balter noticed a lack of quality mallets on the market. Applying his experience and passion for the percussive arts Balter started producing well balanced high quality mallets that rapidly became staples in percussionist mallet bags.
