Introduction: Each book includes an introduction that provides background on the development of the Midrash and the specific volume. Midrash Rabbah is a commentary on the Torah that contains homiletic, ethical, and moral interpretations of the Scriptures. It is a staple of Jewish imagination that has nourished it for centuries.
