Description: For sale here is a mid century oil on canvas by the well known artist Zvi Mairovich.(b. 1911-1973) Born in Poland, educated at the Academy in Berlin under Karl Hoffer, immigrated to Israel and lived in Paris for a while. He was well exhibited in both museums as well as in various biennials. This abstract painting, depicts the port of Haifa (titled on the stretcher) in magnificent dark, primary and white light flashes.The result is striking & dramatic. Set in a frame. Size- About 26 inches tall , 30" wide framed. Stretcher is about 20 x 24". Condition- Very nice! Small losses and craquelure lower left. Stain to the back of the canvas. Wear to the frame.
