Description: FEATURED: A dynamic stylized Serigraph, "WOMAN WITH JUG", BY noted Israeli artist Yehudit (Judith) Yellin, created in the colorful Mid Century years with the artist's iconic collage-style art, for which she was famous. This very colorful and striking print has such movement, as we see the woman walking home, barefoot, in traditional clothes, lost in thought, balancing her water jug overhead as she wanders along a path. It captures the MidCentury Modern style with its vivid colors, subtle details in the clothing, and overall stylized design, and is a terrific piece of art for any room of that era, as well as being a wonderful portrait of daily Judaica & Israeli desert life. Ms. Yellin was known world-wide for these very iconic figures and scenes of Israel life, exhibited her art world-wide as well as teaching and writing in Jerusalem, and has her art in private collections and museums across the globe. She had her art used for Unicef cards from 1965-75, and in 2003 won the Prize for Life Achievement at the famous Biennele for Modern Art in Florence, Italy. She is deceased (1923-2005) but is regarded as one of Israel's most famous artists, and her artwork is very collectible today. Measures: 18.5 inches X 26.5 inches. Serigraph beautifully printed in Israel by SHOHAR. Signature in print. In good vintage condition, not matted or framed. (See condition description for details.) Very collectible Mid Century art by famous woman Israeli artist, Yehudit ( Judith) Yellin. We pack your valuables with care for safety and security.
