Description: For your consideration is a vintage framed three panel oil on canvas triptych painting replicating the flock of red crested Japanese cranes artwork of famed artist and illustrator Ogata Korin (1658-1716). Exquisitely created in the early 1960s depicting black and white cranes against a metallic gold background with Asian lettering at the lower right and an abstract form of water at the upper left. The art is comprised of 3 canvases that create an elegant triptych, framed in a simple gold molding. The canvases, when placed together, have the following dimensions: Height: 36 in (91.44 cm) Width: 60 in (152.4 cm) Depth: 1 in (2.54 cm) The artwork is in beautiful vintage condition, showing light wear commensurate to age and history of use. A small area of the frame at the top center of the larger painting needs to be reattached to the canvas but this is neither noticeable or distracting. Please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing. We welcome your questions and are delighted to answer! Thank you for looking!
