Description: MID CENTURY MODERN TIGER PLANTER LAMPS WITH TWO TIER OVAL FIBER SHADES MCM VINTAGE Classic ceramic planter lamps with Tiger motif. Cosmetically, the lamps are in exceptional condition. No damage. Incidental minor mold and manufacture flaws, which are typical. Both lamps work. As always, I recommend re-writing for safety and current codes. Wiring is vintage so it should be replaced. One harp and socket assembly is a bit loose and needs to be tightened. A moot point if re-wiring is expected. Lamps stand approx 21.5 inches from bottom to harp cap. Bases are approx 11" wide. The lamps come with matching fibers shades. These are oval and two tiered. Approx 17" at longest point. Approx 9" tall. Very good condition with some biding loss to one shade. One shade has glued seams. This one may have been rebound at some point as the glued seam is a bit too obvious. The other has a bound seam at the large panel. This is the shade with some binding loss. All panels are intact with a nice period splatter pattern. Frames show some surface oxidation. All joint points are intact. An exception pair overall. As a matched set, I prefer not to separate them, unless the buyer wants only the lamps or only the shades. Expensive to ship even under the best of circumstances.
