Description: Coca Cola has made thousands of Commemorative bottles over the years. Each one celebrates events in our lives. This one celebrates Mickey's Toontown, at Disneyland, California. Maurice J. Sullivan arrived in America at the age of 17 from Ireland. His first job, after arriving in the U.S. was sacking potatoes at the A&P in Pennsylvania. Within a year, he was promoted to store manager of the A&P in Buffalo. In 1942, "Sully" joined the Army, and became an asset for the war effort, and was sent to Hawaii. He was the buyer for the officer's mess hall. On his several trips around the island, he met the Lau family, who owned a market. After the war ended, he became the store manager of the Lau's Lanikai store. In 1948, he, together with the Lau family opened the first, modern supermarket in Hawaii. The store filled up, and they were inundated. They had to close the front doors and let a few people in at a time. This store grew to have 31 stores statewide. This bottle was given out to customers for an unnamed purchase, for customers going to the mainland. The bottle has "Foodland" on the neck. The bottle is unopened, and just perfect. It was made in 1994. Shipping for this bottle will be only $9.00, anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day mail. If you purchase more of my many asst. bottles, I will ship them FREE with your new Toontown bottle.
