Every day the watch checks in with NIST, gets the time and ensures the watch is accurate. So, you are buying a watch for which you do not have to change batteries, wind, or charge, and it keeps accurate time. As long as the watch sees daylight and you aren’t living in an underground bunker where you can’t get radio signals, it is a great deal! Now you ask, why do I want to get rid of such a wonderful watch? Simply put, old age. I had cataract surgery, after which my vision went from nearsighted to farsighted. Now, every time I want to see the time on this watch, I have to pull a pair of reading glasses out of my pocket and put them on. (Getting old sucks) To avoid this, I’ve had to buy a fancy new watch with large, illuminated numbers I can see without glasses. To add insult to injury, the new watch sends me an email once a week telling me I haven’t walked enough or climbed enough stairs in the past seven days.
