Description: This beautiful Acoma wedding vase by Melissa Concho Antonio displays her ability to create precise and intricate designs. It measures 8" tall x 5.25 wide x 4.75" deep. Melissa Antonio was born into the Acoma Pueblo in1965. She became an artisan by observing her mother Lillie Concho. Lillie taught her the process of gathering, preparing the clay, and the use of natural pigments to paint her designs using a yucca brush. She is known for her incredible fine line painting. She has won numerous awards and is one of the top Acoma potters of today. Condition on this wedding vase is very good with one small scuffed area in the lower area of one side (see last photo). No chips or cracks that I see.
