Description: One component that brings a nautical painting to life is the realism of the ocean spray and surf. Mel Hunter's gift for nautical painting is among the best of the very best. The green mist of the deep water is exactly what you will see after the storm has subsided. Mel Hunter died in 2004. Note: the solid oak picture frame is covered with plexiglass (instead of breakable glass). I did not want to remove the glass to take the photos. There are a few white flashspots from my camera flash. I assure you, there are no white spots anywhere on this artwork. The artwork itself is mint. Measurements: The frame measures approximately 38 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The art has a very nice art mat to transition the frame and the art itself. Just the artwork is approximately: 29 inches wide and 22 inches tall. The artist's signature (hand signed) apears in the lower right hand corner. This is print #105 of 300. The date is 1977. The artist has also hand written the title of this work in the lower center of the art. Titled: "Dreadnaught After The Storm." Note: I will be refinishing and repainting the picture frame. It will be a hammered charcoal black paint (Just a bit gray to tone down the black). The new finish will update the frame beautifully. I will pack this painting with exceptional care for shipping. Shipping throughout the Continental USA (lower 48 states only). Shipping by: USPS., or FedEx. This is a large and heavy painting. So the purchaser can expect a large and heavy box when the painting arrives.
