Groove wear (a fuzzy sound) should not be noticeable. Any warping or an off centered hole should not affect playback. VG: Some of the Scratches on the album will be heard as a lite tic (you may be able to feel these with your fingernail). Groove wear will be audibly noticeable. Background noise will be more noticeable during soft passages. Mores Scuffs and small scratches will be present. What is a Scuff Mark?: The mark does not break through the edges of the groove, thus no noise is produced when the stylus passes over the Mark. What does an Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine do?: The exploding micro bubbles get deep into the grooves of the record and take off the oils, smoke residue, and any stuck dirt. This reduces the background noise making listening even more enjoyable.
