The original paint and detailed cast iron work is terrific. You place a coin on the guns barrel and retract is backwards while the marksman takes aim at an apple on his young lads head. Then you simply push the marksman's right foot to activate the spring release and the coin is shot into the apple and drops into the coin receptacle as the young lads hand raises. In our opinion with the original paint and this banks remarkable condition it's one of the nicest J.& E. Stevens Banks to be offered presently on E-bay and should make a wonderful addition for any collector of mechanical banks.
