Description: Maxfield Parrish’s “The Serenade” - Original Framed Color Print (illustration, page 41) from Louise Saunders’ 1925 First Spiral Edition of ‘The Knave Of Hearts’. The image measures 4 1/8”x 9 1/4”. Outermost frame dimensions are 6 7/8”x 11 3/4”. (Thought the frame went extremely well). MP signature, barely discernible due to coloration, in lower left corner (photo #7). The ‘sides’ of this frame had to be retouched/painted with gold touch-up, (photos 8 & 9), not noticeable from the front while hung. The reverse side (‘The King Tastes The Tarts’) had to be sacrificed, thought ‘The Serenade’ had more charm. It is backed with 2-ply acid free backing, new hardware, dustcover and bump-ons September, 2024 and ready to hang. The remains (bottom) of the page will be included (photos 11 & 12). Note: The first 13 photos are taken without glass to avoid reflection/glare issues. Photos 15, 16 & 17 after completion of project.
