Description: In 1989, a green 1000 ouguiya was commissioned and printed but never issued. Prior to this printing, the 1974 version (P7a) had been used with a reprint occurring in 1985 (P7b). For an unknown reason, this 1989 version was never issued, and the prior design continued to be used and in fact reprinted in 1991.The unissued 1989 version shares the watermark along with similar themes and images including a desert scene, camel, fishing and mining, but is different in color and overall design. It also has a large see through feature under the watermark.
