Lesney Matchbox 1-75 Regular Wheel Series Made in England No. 23B Berkeley Cavalier CaravanThe second version of the Berkeley Caravan, now with full model name and number cast on the base. The ultra rare last version with metallic green body! Grey plastic wheels with rounded axles, rear decal is 99%. If you're collecting the Regular Wheels you know how rare this one is - one of the rarest colour variations ever made. When production of the replacement model No.23C Bluebird Caravan started a few unfinished body's of the older, phased out No.23B were found in storage. These were then painted together in the same colour metallic green. The 23C is rare in that colour but the 23B is mega rare, only a few have been painted in that colour! Good paint, chipping to all body casting lines and the roof center line, one larger chip to roof, roof colour is slightly faded. Tow hitch is fully intact. In worn & creased but complete "B4" box with an taped outer flap. Provenance: this model was part of the Ray Bush collection, founder of the legendary "UK Matchbox" Collectors club. Later on display at the Chester Toy museeum, in storage since it's closure in 2002.
