Description: Here we have a stoneware deer stein mug. The impressed date mark on the base of the mug was used from 1964 - 1979 so the mug was produced within those dates. The condition is very good there is a tiny chip on the bottom edge but it does not affect the balance or the look as you can not see it when upright.A little bit about the makers: Anton Marzi and Simon Peter Remy founded their firm in the Westerwald town of Höhr in 1879. In 1880 they also started producing pewter items. Already by the end of 19th century Marzi & Remi employed more than 100 workers. The factory became the leading German stoneware producer. In 1927 the company was taken over by Werner Remy (Simon Peter Remy's son) and Otto Buhler. In 1994 the factory was permanently closed.I dispatch parcels the same day Same day dispatch cut off times:Monday - Friday 3 pm.
