Description: This is a collection of articles analyzing the role of Mary in the New Testament overseen by editor Ray Brown. The study was sponsored by the United States Lutheran Roman Catholic dialogue back in the 1970s and describes itself as a collaborative assessment by Protestant and Roman Catholic scholars. According to the preface, “In 1973 a task force of New Testament scholars produced a collaborative study in titled Peter in the New Testament. They did this work at the request of the participants in the national dialogue who were then preparing a study on purple primacy in the universal church. The whole tone of the national dialogue and a series of volumes has been governed by an effort to see in a new light the old problems that I’ve been separating churches. The cover and binding of the book are in pretty good shape and they’re only about a dozen pages with underlined markings (see the attached photos). In addition my name appears inside the front cover. Otherwise there are no turned corners on any of the pages. I am a retired priest/professor and I am looking for a good home for many of the volumes on my shelves. Please consider adopting this volume and taking it home for yourself.
