Description: Mary DeMarco has been designing and making her jewelry in the Baltimore area since the mid-1980s. I could not find another brooch like this! It looks Victorian-inspired to me, and may be one of her earlier creations. The back is marked. Review all photos for design and condition specifics; the pictures are considered to be part of this description. It is pewter, about 2 7/16" long, and 1" across its widest point. It has light and medium purple prong-set rhinestones, and two natural stones (don't know definitively what they are). It flexes (pic 4). The center rhinestone directly under the square stone is chipped (pics 5, 6); it's impossible to say if it was made this way or if damage occured post-sale. Since the other rhinestones are intact, I am inclined to think it happened when it was made. In either case, it's such a charming, busy yet little piece, that this anomaly is unnoticeable.
