Description: This is a black plastic sloped back coal tender made by Louis Marx & Company for their O gauge train line. It is lettered Penn Central in white and has a white stripe along the bottom on both sides. This one is complete and in nice shape. Has the 8 stamped metal wheels on metal axles, and plastic tilt style coupler on the rear and tab and slot type coupler to hook to the engine, as it should. Marx used this style of tender with the diecast 666, the plastic 1666, some of the 400 and 490 engines, and perhaps more, Light tarnish on the wheels and axles. Need a tender to complete a boxed set, or to pair with a loose engine you have? Photos show the car from all 6 sides, with a penny in the shots for size reference (it is O gauge, runs on Marx 3 rail train track, which is pretty much the same size as Lionel O-27). Priced to sell, with only actual USPS Ground Advantage or Priority shipping cost charged to the winner!
