I have for sale a number of nominally O-gauge tab+slot couplers for use with most model railroad O-gauge tinplate cars (Marx, Lionel, American Flyer). These couplers would be found on cars similar to the Marx 6inch car shown in pic #2. I have converted to S-gauge a number of these cars such as shown in pic #3, and that is the source of these couplers. These couplers are intended to be mounted in a slot on the chassis of a tinplate car. A raised dimple on the coupler shank secures the coupler in the slot. As an alternate the dimple could be drilled out and the coupler mounted with some kind of screw, preferably size #2.
