Description: Here is one of those classic prewar Marx tin lithographed and heavy stamped steel "Glendale Depot" toy train accessories. You see these frequently with a green factory painted base, but some were also made with red bases, and some with a pale blue. This is one of the red based versions AND it is the basic version with NO electrical features at all. Would have been the least costly when issued new, but now it seems like the "stripped down" versions of the Depot are the hardest to find! This one is nice, but by no means perfect. Some scratches and such from play, and the lithography on the station building is faded in places (mostly the roof piece). The crossing gate is present and works as it should. No accessory pieces with this one, just the main station. It is about 14 inches long, 10 inches deep, and 5 1/2 inches high at the highest part (the top of the roof). Would make a great accessory on your classic O gauge (or even standard gauge) train layout, or as an add-on around the Christmas tree!
