Item Description Martin D-18 1997 (1997) Martin D-18 1997s [1990s-2000s specification featuring rosewood fingerboard and bridge] The "D-18" is Martin's famous and highly popular machine. One of the specs from the 1990s to 2000s, featuring a genuine rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The current model was fully remodeled with vintage specs ahead of other models, but this model has a slender neck and non-scalloped X braces. [Standard and royal specs] The body material is spruce top, mahogany sides and back, the neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard material is rosewood. 645mm scale, rosewood bridge, standard and classic specs. There are cracks in the paint on the top and a step in the binding part of the body. There are no problems with operation or performance. [Soft yet powerful sound typical of Martin] It has elasticity and tolerance in the mid-low range that can only be found in Martin, and produces the traditional sound of Martin. The rest of the rod is OK enough to adjust the neck in both the tightening and loosening directions. The neck has been adjusted to be almost flat.
