Description: Martial Redon, Limoges 1892 “Autograph Vase” RARE Jewish USA Genealogy Treasure! Unique and One-Of-A-Kind! This listing is for a unique "Autograph or Signature Vase." The vase was produced by the Martial Redon porcelain factory in Limoges, France. The autograph section of the vase was added in the US. I have seen a very few of these vases. They were produced in France and then marketed in the US so that a person or persons could have their friends and family autograph a template. The template would then be transferred to the vase and permanently fired into the porcelain. The autograph template has spaces for fifty signatures. Each name displayed on the vase was the actual signature of the person listed! This vase is dated 1892 next to the photos of the two girls. Who were these girls? They undoubtedly were the children of parents whose names are signed on this vase. Perhaps someone will recognize a name or names on this vase and solve the mystery of the two girls! This vase exhibits the names of many Jewish people and many who are obviously related. This is a RARE and INVALUABLE record of persons who were living and who were family and friends of the two girls. This vase offers an invaluable resource to those researching Jewish genealogy and who may have ancestors listed on this vase. As you can see from the list of names below, some of those listed lived in the Evanston/Cincinnati, Ohio area and others in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Please review the photos and feel free to ask questions. Dimensions:Height: 9 inchesWidth: 7 inches Condition:Excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations. There is some wear to the gold around the top and on the handles. Below if a list of the names, sorted alphabetically by Last Name.Included are photos of the signatures from a variety of angles.Names followed by an * asterisk were located in the “Find A Grave” online database. For these names the cemetery location is listed. The cemeteries are all Hebrew/Jewish cemeteries. Please consult the “Find A Grave” online database for additional information.Names below that do not display an * asterisk could not be located on the “Find A Grave” database. These names would require further genealogical research. There were a couple of names I could not decipher. The vase is dated 1892 so everyone listed would now be deceased.
