It has a flexible black rubberized mast and is ideal for sailing boats, yachts, motor boats, power boats day/fishing boats etc. The base allows the aerial to be fitted on a horizontal deck surface, vertical or angled bulkhead. Quality chrome plated 180 degree swivel-pivot base. The mast is very flexible and can be tightly bent, and will even curve back on itself with out damage. The flexible mast is ideal in a marine environment as it will not be damaged by loose lines, rigging or hard knocks and will not cause serious injury to crew. Extension leads are available at additional cost if required. Specification is: · 33 cm (13 inches) flexible mast. · 140 cm (55 inches) coax cable, with extension leads available in metre increments. · Standard ‘Motorola’ type coax plug. · 10 mm diameter mounting hole required · Can be mounted on horizontal, vertical or angled surfaces · The underside/internal fitting has a black plastic cover so if mounted into the cabin or wheelhouse area, the internal base fitting looks neat and allows the base and coax cable to be easily and neatly routed to the radio. Please note: It is not suitable for VHF radio transmission. Maximum thickness of mounting surface 10 mm. Also ideal for campers, caravans and motor-homes.
