Description: This painting is 8 1/4" x 5" mounted to 10 1/4" x 8" cardboard which the artist painted. Marie Antoinette Le Pleuxpainted it in 1969. I found her name in the San Francisco Chronicle on April 1,1981, & Nov.1,1982 which said she died on October 17,1982. The boy, who is dressed in old style clothes, stares directly at the observer. He is set off by a striped landscape that looks like a flag. The colors are unusual, dull and moody and the composition is very interesting. Please see another of her paintings that I an selling.
