Description: "Gondoles Devant San Giorgio" This is a circa 1958 unframed, signed and numbered, Marcel Mouly lithograph on paper, entitled "Gondoles Devant San Giorgio." The art is hand signed by Mouly, and it is numbered from the very small edition of just 180 numbered pieces. It is unusual to find a regular numbered edition size less than three hundred pieces in Mouly editions! This piece is numbered 73/180! Marcel Mouly (1918 - 2008) was born in Paris. His career of painting was influenced greatly by Picasso, Matisse and Braque. His work has been collected all over the world, and exhibited in prestigious venues around the globe. His art has been included in the permanent collections of more than twenty museums. He was at his death, the last living protege of the great Picasso. The print is in very good condition! The only reason I did not rate it as excellent is because it has three small handling folds at the very top right margin of the paper, far off the image, and not seen when the piece is framed. Please see the last photo to view these small margin folds. The art is a dark colored image of the famous gondolas of Venice, Italy. This image can also be found in the Marcel Mouly book of works, edition Ateliers Gourdon. The lithograph has never been framed and has been stored flat with acid-free materials. This is my last copy of this image! The dimensions of the print are 30" X 21." The image is 23" X 17." Included with the art is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA.) The shipping charge for this piece includes insurance. Photos are of the actual piece you will receive. Like most Mouly lithographs, the color is wonderful and the paper is very soft.
