Marantz PMD 720 Professional Personal Recording Studio 4 Track Cassette

Description: AS-IS - Marantz PMD 720 - AS-IS 30 year old unit, one owner. Purchased new in 1994 and tracked six years of demos until the deck wore out. Used as a mixer for another whole buncha years. Great machine. The goods: Powers on (but adapter not included). PLAYS! But playback is finicky, sometimes. Head engages, spindles spin. Four tracks of audio greatness. All 4 VU meters light up and respond. 1/4" inputs 1-4 tested well with mic. Tape counter works. Door is intact. One owner, smoke-free, dry environment. Power jack was repaired/replaced in 2005. The not-so-goods: FF, Rewind do not work. They try, but no-go. Playback is intermittent and it probably warbles; head likely needs alignment. Record function untested. XLR inputs untested. Pots are untested, but expect scratchiness. AS-IS. Briefly tested, but it's old and has been sitting in storage for 15 years. I can't guarantee what works today will work tomorrow.
