Unpunched angle strips are available at any specified length. Call for an estimate. Angles are punched with square 5/16" holes according to the original hole pattern. The dimensions are 1 1/2 X 1" and they are 18 gage thickness. Made in Oklahoma City, USA DODGE ANGLES - Dodge angles are available in two (2) types, straight angles and curved angles. The straight angles fit stepside beds up to 1960 that are about 49" wide inside and do not have indented wheel wells. The curved angles fit "high side" beds that have an indented wheel well and are about 54" wide inside. Curved angles are supplied as a six-piece (6) set with two (2) short straight pieces and a curved piece for each bed side. The curved piece fits around the indented wheel well area and a straight piece is attached behind and in front of the curved angle. Curved angles are used on 54" wide Dodge stepside beds from 1948 up to the 1985 model year. MAR-K makes Dodge angles like the original Dodge style. Dodge style angles are also available with no holes. Installation Tips Removal of original angles: If bolts are rusted, an air chisel or bolt cutter may be needed. Remove wood. Take measurements of original angles so replacements will go in the same place. Drill 1/4" hole through the spot welds (appx. every 3" along angle) and pry angle loose (screwdriver may work). Grind off spot welds using a body grinder. Clamp new angle in place - make sure it is straight and positioned accurately. Weld the new angle in place from outside - weld right through the holes you drilled. HINT: Be careful not to use excessive heat which would burn through the angle - use an aluminum or copper block clamped to the angle strip at the weld to reduce distortion and discoloring from the weld. Grind the weld smooth. Angles can be bolted to side as an alternative to welding: we recommend 5/16 X 3/4 Phillips drive bolts about 6-8" apart. Acorn nuts can be used on the outside where bolt and nut are visible. This item is being shipped to you directly from the manufacturer and is subject to an increased handling time.
