Description: Manzanita Bird Perch- harvested from Old Growth Forest. Every one is Unique! Arctostaphylos is the genus of this remarkable shrub, with 60+ species in California alone. We are fortunate enough to have an 80 acre farm in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range with the oldest grove of Manzanita, or "little apple" as known by the native Indians, around. A rather exotic hardwood made up of reds, greys, and tans, is without sap, and therefore, naturally non toxic to people and animals. We harvest our Manzanita sustainably, curing it with the power of the sun, making it very desirable by pet owners, crafters, and artists. Our bird perches come in the natural red finish, or for a small fee, we can sandblast it until a light tan finish shines through. You can also choose to have a straight perch, or a forked perch with two or more branches for your bird to sit upon. To install: Unscrew wing nut and take off one washer. From inside the cage, place perch with one washer in desired location. On the outside of cage, put remaining washer on exposed screw through the cage wires and use wing nut to tighten down both washers (one inside and one out of the cage).
