Description: This uncirculated 50 Maldivian rufiyaa banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority as part of the polymer series. It is a golden yellow polymer banknote that is dated 5 October 2015, bears the signature of Azeema Adam, and measures 150 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side shows an underprint with stone carvings in the Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiy) design, a seated boy reciting the Holy Quran, and men pulling boats from the beach. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts the minaret of the Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiy). The note has the theme “our unity and Islamic values”. Though the banknote does not have a security thread, it has a shadow image of the national coat of arms and a denomination registration device.
