The magazine is marketed to people who enjoyed making things and features projects which can often be completed with cheap materials, including household items. Make has been described as "a central organ of the maker movement". The Maker Kit: Up for sale is an original "Maker" starter kit featuring the Raspberry Pi single board computer. It is packaged with two bread-boards and 60 electronic components so you can learn about capacitors, resistors, transistors, voltage regulators and more. You can combine the electronic components with the Raspberry Pi and do experiments. The included kit book is 160 pages and takes you thought all phases of builds and experiments/learnings of the pieces. There is a AC Adapter (USB) to run the Raspberry Pi and to supply some power to the breadboards when you want to use them. There is also a 9v battery connector which you can use to experiment with battery powered circuitry. The Pi plugs into any LCD display/monitor with an HDMI connector (almost all displays these days). The included SD-Card (black with a white raspberry logo) holds the software for the Pi. You can download programs and other software from the link in the included book. *** Note: There are multiple shipping options for this item.
