Description: PARAGON SWORDSHOME OF TRADITIONAL WEAPONS FROM THE INDONESIAN ARCHIPELAGOwww.paragonswords.com Majestic Bugis Lombok Lamba keris, kris - Lombok Bugis abad XX-era (20th century) - Wilah with dapur Lamba luk 7 and two pamors – Beatifully and detailed carved Pata Tiga hilt – Pedangkok ragam - Impressive Jonga Jonga warangka and gandar of rare Birak Ketemu wood with silver mountings in Karawagan art, set with 8 rubies and an orange sapphire. This majestic Bugis Lombok Lamba keris dates from the Lombok Bugis abad XX-era (20th century). Even though this is a modern keris, all aspects can surpass the quality of many antique examples. When the keris is pulled from the warangka, the rarity of the wilah immediately becomes apparent. To start with, the wilah is forged with two pamors. In the center of the wilah pamor Bubungan Rumah can be admired, framed by pamor Teppo Baja. The pamor motif Bubungan Rumah has a pattern of pamor spheres that are connected together and that look like the body of a snake. This pamor resembles the nature of water in that its flow is related to cumulative wealth and prosperity. It possesses magical powers that will bring good luck to the owner of the keris in the sense that it will become easy for him to generate income. In addition, it makes the owner flexible in entering into and maintaining both relational and business relationships. Because of this, the owner will be able to count on many friends. In the business or work field, the owner of the keris will be very popular with colleagues, his superiors or his business relations. Pamor Teppo Baja (in Java known as pamor wengkon) is a ‘rekan’ type of pamor, meaning that it was created intentionally by the empu. Though this particular pamor motif may seem rather ordinary, yet it is considered an extremely difficult pattern to forge; only an experienced and highly skilled empu will be capable of making a keris that has the pamor Wengkon on it. It is, however, not a ‘chosen’ type of pamor, and thus can be owned by any person. A keris with Wengkon pamor has spiritual powers that protect the owner and his family against disasters, slander and nuisance from wild animals, evil spirits and negative persons. The wilah is forged to Lamba dapur with 7 luk. Historically, these kerisses were reserved for people with a high position or status. I had the wilah professionally and ritually treated with warangan in Indonesia. The two silver pamors contrast beautifully against the jet-black background of the wilah. The top of the keris is adorned with a beatifully and detailed carved Pata Tiga hilt, set on an a Pedangkok ragam with complex decorations. The keris is housed in a Jonga Jonga warangka and gandar of the rare Birak Ketemu wood. The gandar is decorated with silver mountings, executed in Karawangan art, set with 8 rubies and an orange sapphire. Upon request, I will gladly tell you all about my meditation experiences with this keris.
