Description: Absolutely gorgeous art sculpture by Latvian artist Maigon Daga! Bisque-like polar bear, hand-sculpted. 3D with incredible detail. Sits atop a 2-1/4" thick peach colored genuine stone slab. I have researched the stone extensively, but many possibilities are likely. Best match was Quartzite, might be Elbaite. I see from research that most of the artist's pieces are signed on the bottom of the stone slab. This piece is not. BUT... after comparing the detail of the polar bear sculptures to this one there is no doubt in my mind that this is a Maigon Daga. Every detail is just a distinguishable as his signed pieces.
