The rubber coating is a unique technique/procedure that no one else can duplicate in today's market. ***These flashlight holders are manufactured out of spring metal and are virtually indestructible. They also are adjustable, by tightening down the screw, the sides of the clamps will move slightly in to secure the flashlight even tighter. Note, nobody else in today's market can claim this--especially the ones that come with two(2) mounting holes--those are non-adjustable.
