Description: Madeleine Luka a.k.a. Madeleine Kula- 1894-1989 "Madeleine Luka (1894-1989) was a naive painter, an illustrator and poetess of my home (L'Isle-Adam, Parmain, Maffliers) who gained to be finally known to the general public and no longer cloistered in the confidential circle of her admirers. Mother and girls with grapes. A wonderful image depiction of children with their mother possibly "the romantic era" maybe "Victorian", but definitely primitive or folk art. I am guessing this art dates from 1920s-1940s based on other pieces of her work. I could be wrong though, as I am not an expert in the area. Offering this wonderful signed piece of french art. Pencil signed in the lower right and numbered in the lower left. Measurements are approximately 15 3/4" x 12 3/4" overall, covered is 15" x 12". This was framed, but not an attractive frame, so I removed it for the sale. This is on a heavy Paper and affixed to a heavy cardstock or board. It must ship flat, it cannot be rolled.
