Description: M1 Garand Winchester Gas Cylinder WRA This is an original, not a reproduction. Winchester WW2 Gas Cylinder with front sight This gas cylinder was a take off from a CMP SPG M1 rifle. Condition is used but clean. Cylinder has 40% 50% black finish, clean with minor digs on sight top and just behind bayonet lug. Top barrel ring has rounded top ring, not flat milled. Typical of WRA mfg. Bayonet lug has been hand filed, yet another clue this is a Winchester manufacture Also signature step line a sight base bottom. Wide sight base, as used in 1943 until end of manufacture Stacking swivel and screw attached center punched stake, WRA typical. Piston nut threads in fine so not stripped out Fits tight and snug on barrel. Not test fired not gauged. Again condition is USED almost 70 years old, used gas cylinder.
