Description: • likely Lyon & Co, but similar was produced my several manufacturers• New York Honeycomb• Water Pitcher• Crystal; Clear• Antique Flint, Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) c. 1860's• Measurements: 4 1/8" base diameter, 6" outer diameter and 8 3/4" high at the handle• Weight, prepackaged: 3 lbs 10.6 oz • Condition: The pitcher is free of chips, cracks and fleabites, including on the edges of the honeycombs. The handle is applied with no heat checks. There are some minor marks from use or storage visible under inspection, none distracting or easily seen. The foot has light shelf wear as expected. The glass is clear and free of cloudiness with a slight glow under UV light. The smooth areas have some whittling from the blowing process. The resonance is excellent for it's shape (muted by the handle and foot). The handle style is identical to Lyon & Co's known Cincinnati Honeycomb creamers and pitchers. The base and body construction are also identical to Cincinnati. However, an catalog or trade reference firmly connecting this New York Honeycomb pitcher to Lyon & Co hasn't been found.
