Description: This auction is for a nice clean unused 2-piece Lunt William and Mary pattern Sterling Silver "Little Man & Little Women" child's tableware set. This nice set were purchased from a prominent Baltimore County estate. This is a charming child's set made by the Lunt Silver Company. The set is titled "Little Men and Little Women". The box shows young boys and girls at a table setting reveling over a birthday cake, (see pics). The box also has retained the original seller sticker of Cheney & Hunt in Holyoke Massachusetts. Opening the box, you will notice that the silver pieces are wrapped in their original, unusual baby blue felt like holder. You will also notice that the spoon and fork are sealed in their original Lunt factory bags! The packaging is stamped Lunt, "Sterling of Lasting Good Taste". It's hard to believe these were never used, as they are so charming. By the look at the advertisement graphics, these probably date to the late 40's early 1950's, which would make them over 70 years old! The fork measures 4" in length and the spoon measures 4 1/4". The spoon is marked Treasure with the Lunt product symbol, Sterling and Patd 1921, and the fork is marked Lunt with the Lunt product symbol Sterling and Patd 1921. This is a nice complete unused antique child' tableware set and will be a delightful addition to your Lunt William and Mary patterned/sterling silver collection.
