Description: Luise Rainer Signed 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 Autograph Page with Book Photo in very good condition Nicknamed the "Viennese Teardrop", she was the first person to win back to back Oscars. Luise won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1936 for her role as Anna Held in "The Great Ziegfeld" and again in 1937 playing O-Lan in "The Good Earth". After disputes with her studio, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, she walked away from Hollywood. Over the years she would perform in stage productions and television. Other films to her credit were "Toy Wife", "The Great Waltz", "Hostages" and her last film in 1998, "The Gambler". She lived most of her life in Switzerland and England. She died from pneumonia.
