Description: She is an excellent reproduction of the German Ludwig Greiner 1800's doll. She was issued by the Collectible Concepts Corp. and honored as part of the US Postal Service stamps known as the American Doll Stamps in 1997. Her molded black hair is styled appropriately for the 1850's. She has mauve lips, blue eyes and a slight blush to her cheeks. Her expression is lovely, so pensive, she seems lost in her thoughts. Her body is firmly stuffed with oil painted cloth. Legs are stitched at the knees for a lady-like seated display. Mitten style hands with stitching to detail fingers. Not wanting to disturb her fine quality clothing she was not undressed for this listing - she wears a pair of pantalettes, and a white dress beneath a full burgundy dress. She wears black tie shoes. She was owned by a doll collector and was displayed in a cabinet behind glass in an airconditioned room in a smoke free home.
