Description: This is a rare single-point strainer from the very first snare drum model that Ludwig & Ludwig made, produced from 1911-1919. This one is "style b," hoop-mounted on 3 or 4-inch deep drums according to the Rob Cook book. Chrome finish, which indicates either a later birth date or a re-plate job. Small throwoff lever; these were referred to as mufflers when they were first produced. This one is complete with mounting screws and 100% original. Extremely hard to find. Condition as shown, over all it is bright and shiny but one corner of the frame box is deteriorated. It works smoothly with no issues despite this. All threads and joints solid. ------------ Visit my eBay store for hundreds more drum parts!
