Description: ITHACA SKB 20 GAUGE XL SEMI AUTO WOOD BUTT STOCK This butt stock will fit the 20 gauge XL900 and XL300 gas operated models of SKB semi auto shotguns imported by Ithaca. The 1972 Ithaca catalog specifies the stock dimension of an XL field model to be: Length of Pull (LOP) = 14 inch Drop at Comb (DAC) = 1 ½ inch Drop at Heel (DAH) = 2 ½ inch NOTE : THIS STOCK WILL NOT FIT the Recoil operated shotgun. The distinctive feature of the Model 300 / 900 recoil semi-automatic shotgun is the presence of a large coil spring that surrounds the outside of the magazine tube. This spring is visible after you remove the forend from the shotgun. Again, this stock will not fit the recoil models. The wood is stained Walnut with a high gloss urethane finish. The stock has a cut checkering pattern and an original SKB butt plate and logo grip cap. The stock appears to be new inventory and was never mounted to a receiver. There are no cracks or chips in the stock. Only minor finish scratches near the checkering, and other small indentations and scuff marks from storage
