Description: Elektra EKL-142, produced in 1952. The Shanty Boys is comprised of Mike Cohen - guitar, Lionel Kilberg - Brownie bass, and Roger Sprung - banjo. ROGER SPRUNG HAS INSCRIBED AND SIGNED ON THE FRONT JACKET. The ink has faded over time but is still mostly legible. It says, "To Mark (?) Best Wishes, Rog Sprung". There are some letters after "Mark" which I can't ascertain. I can't find any Shanty Boy signatures online - THIS MAY BE THE ONLY ONE AVAILBLE NOW! Glossy jacket with mostly light edge wear, but a heavy patch on top edge and top left corner, there is a split on top edge about 6". No other splits, soil mark back jacket, no rings. LP stored in original Elektra inner sleeve, split on both sides, one about 6", the other 1", not on bottom edge. LP LOOKS PLAYABLE with some light visible scratches over clean vinyl, will grade VG+.
