Description: This GORGEOUS vintage Bakelite brooch dates to the early 1930-40's and is a solid goldenrod color. It measures 3 5/8" x 2" and has an elliptical shape. The brooch is about 1/4" thick and weighs 25 grams. A large flower carving is found in the center of the brooch that is separated from two leaf inspired carvings at each end of the brooch. The artist did a really beautiful job of carving this brooch! The brooch has its original hardware with a roll-over "C" clasp. The clasp works like new and stays closed when the brooch is being worn. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 3/8 and is approximately 3/16" thick and weighs 13 grams. The brooch tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were seen.
