Description: Presented is a beautiful English sterling silver serving spoon from 1814. This piece is has a great fiddle shape and a chased bundle of fruit in the bowl. The piece has lovely scroll details along the handle surrounding a crest of a bird at the center. The bowl appears to have a faded gold wash on the front and back. The back of the handle is marked with full English Hallmarks: the Lion passant for sterling silver, the three tower mark for Newcastle, The duty mark of King George III, and the date letter Z representing 1814. There is also a maker's mark for George Samuel Lewis & John Wright. This piece is in great condition, considering age and material. There is one small split on the side of the bowl, which can be seen in the left side of photo 3. Pattern details are well defined overall.
