Description: Beautiful Louis Lot - Solid Silver Open-hole Flute with C-foot (#9647) Beautiful Louis Lot flute that we believe is from the last era of the company. The Louis Lot company was started in the latter part of the 19th century. His work was highly regarded and has been copied by other main flute makers such as Haynes and Altus over the years. The Louis Lot company continued after Louis Lot's death and changed hands a number of times before the last era with Strasser-Marigaux-Lemaire (SML). Known for producing high quality wind instruments and there are a number of flutes produced under the Louis Lot name. As the serial numbers were changed when SML purchased the Louis Lot company, they run in line with SML serial numbers and not the old LL records. This example plays very nicely and to 442hz pitch without having to have been re-tuned, which was an advantage of the later models. I allow any purchaser one week to fully test the flute after purchase. Should the flute not be suitable then I will refund in full (minus postage costs). I have no interest in any player having a flute that is not right for them and so I will always offer this refund on any flute purchased.
