People goofing off, goofing around, doing funny things, having fun, making music, making faces, some just looking cute. etc. Various sizes, sepia, black and white, ruffled/scalloped edges, black pattern border. A few have scrapbook on them. Including: · Well, what, really, is there to say about this one other than it's one of the stranger photos I've come across. 7" x 9". Heavily tinted. Think it's late 1930s or early 1940s. It shows boy in top hat, tuxedo, corsage. Next to him, girl's hand linked in the crook of his elbow. She's wearing a veil that's a headband with tons of tulle that pools at her feet, covering her flat lace up, white shoes that come to the ankle. White socks and…really? Yes, really. A white "mini dress." Not sure what else to call it. Holding huge bouquet. He's got a closed-mouth smile on face, she's…well, not sure what that expression is. I don't know if it was a fad to dress up kids like they're getting married back in the day or what. Probably 2 best friend moms hoping their 2 kids would grow up to get married for real. One thumbtack hole far upper right. A little black…ink?...lower left. Nothing encroaching on the 2 kids. · New Mexico, December 1955, License plate (258417) doesn't show in this picture but in another similar pic, the plate on the car is New Mexico Clergy. 2 girls with balloons, other old cars in background. Once of the girls is Charleen Jones, daughter of Blanche and Charlie. · New Mexico: Giant Jackalope that says "Save Money" in some kind of strange jalopy convertible care that says "Covered Wagon, East City Limits" and something else that's covered up by the girl—think it's Charleen—in shorts. Her sister is next to her standing on the car in t-shirt and jeans. · Charlie and Blanche and male pal. This might be Florida. Charlie was a military man and was stationed in FL at one point. Kind of funny. Blanche looks like "What am I doing here?" All in bathing suits. Charlie, sans his usual glasses is smiling widely, arm around Blanche, and so does the guy pal who's wearing shoes with his swim trunks · New Mexico: Charleen and sister in buggy being "pulled" by fake horse, which is life size. · Ernie Duncan and Charlie Jones, 1923 or 1926, by a tree. Rather interesting clothes and hats jaunty on their heads · Guy goofing around, playing bongo drums while sitting on front fender of car, Oldsmobile, late 1950s · Girl in front of Saloon sign sitting on saddle that's on an old wooden wheel · Baseball: a bunch of boys in derby caps, 3 holding baseball bats, sepia, 1920s · Ed Mertes with a big bow in his hair with his 5 children · Blanche, Charleen, other daughter and another lady standing by fake donkey. 2 have chiffon scarves on. Charleen has the pose and sneer of a typical teenager who would rather be anywhere else. · Hmmm. This is a parade. On the horse sits a "cowboy." Behind him and other horses is…what? It looks like a giant cage on wheels. On top are cowboys and Indians. At least they are dressed that way. August 1963. · This might be from the same as above. Covered wagon. Man in cowboy hat and 2 other people. Says on the white part of the wagon: "Enroute Corvallis Centennial June 27 to 30." · Super cute one with black pattern border, August 1929, in white: "Pull down your dress Clare." Shows flapper gal (Clare) sitting on one side of front of car, legs crossed, skirt above knees, patterned blouse, bobbed hair. On the other side of the car a guy with crazy striped socks sits. Then a man with a woman on either side of him in the car. 872731, 1929 Ohio License plate. · 1977 color, Michael and Mary in bumper cars. · Woman in pants shooting a rifle Sorry about the cell phone shadow in the pics—the fluorescent color is NOT on the photos.
